A LEADING AFRICAN ORGANISATION ADVANCING THE INTERNATIONALISATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION FROM THE PERSPECTIVES OF THE DEVELOPING AND EMERGING WORLD 

 

The European Union Erasmus Mundus Window for South Africa

 

The AESOP+ multidisciplinary and intersectorial Erasmus Mundus consortium co-coordinated by the University Paul Sabatier-Toulouse 3 (France) and the University of the Western Cape (South Africa) is partnership composed by 10 European and 8 South African university partners,

as well as six additional associate members.

AESOP+ involves eight thematic fields and encourages the collaboration between different sectors applied to cultural and natural heritage.

The AESOP+ Consortium will manage the partnership and will organize 95 mobilities (62 South African applicants and 33 European applicants in Master, Doctorate, Post Doctorate and Staff).

The scholarship covers the following aspects: Monthly subsistence allowance, Travel ticket (One go and return ticket: The amount allowed depends on the distance from the Home and the Host University), Insurance(All grant holders are insured by a central Group Insurance), Participation cost.

Subsistence allowance allocated per type of mobity per month: 1000 € per month for Master students, 1500 € per month for doctorate students, 1800 € per month for Post-doc students, 2500 € per month for academic staff.

 

Students national of South Africa can apply on line depending their target group:

Target Group 1: Nationals of the third-countries concerned by the geographical lot who are registered in one of the third-country HEIs that is a member of the partnership.

Target Group2: Nationals of the third-countries concerned by the geographical lot, who: are registered/work in a higher education institution of these countries that is not included in the partnership; have obtained a university degree or equivalent by an institution of these countries (students only).
